It’s imperative to know how to pack a greeting card so it doesn’t get creased in the mail. Especially if you’re sending it to someone you care a lot about.

To avoid this particularly sad fate for our greeting cards, I always mail them with protective packaging.

Plastic-Free Packaging
I wanted to use secure packaging that is also plastic-free. Finding cardboard-backed envelopes in the right size was easy once I figured out what I needed.
The greeting card is placed in its envelope, ready to be presented to the intended recipient. Then I wrap it in tissue paper and place it in a protective envelope.
In this case, I did not prepare a thank you note for my lovely client, because this card is going straight to the intended recipient. I don’t want to ruin their experience with advertising.
How to Pack a Greeting Card
Here’s how I packed this custom handwritten greeting card:
Shipping
All my orders are dispatched within 1 business day of the client confirming the final draft (for custom products, otherwise just one business day) and sent via the Swiss Post.
International orders are also dispatched via the Swiss Post.
International parcels do not include tracking, but if you would like your package tracked, please select the “Swiss Post – TRACKED” service in shipping at checkout.
Please be aware that, as this is not a tracked or guaranteed delivery service, we are unable to guarantee a specific date for delivery. The estimates given at the time of ordering are not guaranteed dates and, during peak times or unforeseen circumstances, deliveries may take longer than anticipated.
Delivery times vary according to where you live in the world. Orders placed to countries in Europe usually arrive within 5 days. Orders placed to countries outside of Europe will take a bit longer. Proof of postage can be supplied if you request it.
Now What?
Now that the greeting card is packed, all that remains is to ship it to it’s intended recipient.
